Annie Szendrey is a double major in Mathematics and Economics and a minor in Computer Science within Xavier University’s class of 2016. She is one of ten St. Francis Xavier Scholars. Annie is External Vice President of the Mock Trial team, Vice President of Pre-Law Society, and member of the Phi Alpha Delta fraternity. Aside from law-related activities, Annie is a Resident Assistant at Xavier, National Communications Coordinator of Xavier’s Resident Student Association, one of two students who serves on the student/faculty joint Financial Aid and Scholarship Committee, Treasurer of Math Club, and is a Teacher’s Assistant for the Foundations of Higher Mathematics class. She also volunteers at Xavier’s Center for Faith and Justice as a member of the Catholic Ministry Team and a Christian Life Community small group leader. Last year, Annie independently trained for a 140.6 mile Ironman triathlon, and completed the race in Houston in May, getting engaged at the finish line. This summer, Annie taught math, dance, and mock trial for an organization called Breakthrough Cincinnati, which is a program preparing low-income, highly motivated middle-schoolers for college. Annie plans to attend law school after college and is primarily interested in education or sexual assault law.
